California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) has a web page called TITAN
Online, where students can log in, check grades, register, etc. (Obviously, one
has to be a student to access TITAN; sorry I don't have a better test site.)
TITAN Online's web page has a Javascript menu that only works if the window
manager is set so that one has to click on the window's titlebar to focus the
window, rather than just any point in the window itself. If the window manager
is set "wrong," the JavaScript menu will display submenus, but clicking on the
submenu items does nothing. TITAN Online works under TWM, and under
Enlightenment with the "Focus Settings" option "Clicking in a window always
raises it" unchecked. It doesn't work under GNOME2/Metacity or, IIRC, KDE.
This looks like a Javascript problem that, for once, is actually due to a
Mozilla bug.

Browser, not engine ---> Event Handling
jjramsey_6x9eq42@yahoo.com: would it be possible for you to save
the page in question (Mozilla > File > Save As), zip up the page
and any associated files, and attach the zipped file to this bug?
(attach as type application/octet-stream)
Better yet: can you reduce the page in question and attach that?
I.e., try stripping the page down to the minimum necessary to
show the bug
Even better: would it be possible to set up a test account at this
site, or find a public site that exhibits the same problem.
Otherwise, it's not going to be possible for us to debug this - thanks.

I don't know how to strip down the web page for you, sorry. I made the
following observations:
* When Enlightenment is *not* sent to raise windows by clicking in them,
clicking on a JavaScript submenu in the *downloaded* page (not the original
"live" one) makes Mozilla complain about not being able to link to whatever
page the submenu item links to. (This makes sense; the complaint is correct,
since the page isn't there.)
* When Enlightenment *is* sent to raise windows by clicking in them, clicking
on a JavaScript submenu does nothing.
At least the downloaded web page's behavior is consistent with the behavior of
the real live web page.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
