Steps to reproduce:
Opened a website that has multiple subdomains like *.example.org while policy for example.org allowed usage for camera and microphone but not other sites (ref 1551417)
Actual results:
Camera and microphone usage is not allowed
Expected results:
Allow admins to allow Exceptions for subdomains

Sounds like a request to enterprise policies but to be clear our permission manager doesn't support wildcards so maybe this is a WONTFIX?

Yeah, all we can do is what the permission manager allows. Although I thought adding a permission for bar.com did allow it for foo.bar.com?

No, that depends on the permission type, but almost none of them allow it.

Per Johann, policy can't do anything that the permission system doesn't.
You'll need to add all subdomains via policy.

Sad to hear that
It would be nice if that could be possible.
For admins it’s no use to add every subdomain to an exception site list.
This would be a nice addition to make Firefox the Go-To Enterprise browser.
