With Google News as tb startup page, view source on emails only shows html source for google news

Set google news as thunderbird start page, e.g.,
https://google.com/news
http://google.com/news
http://news.google.com
google.com/news
It doesn't matter how you set it.
Restart tb or select "Go | Mail Start Page" and let google news appear.
Select and open an email and do "view source" on the message.
Google news html source appears instead of the message source.
Other emails when selected only show google news html source when you view source.
I tried several other sites as the start page and don't see a problem. This only seems to occur for google news.
To see email message source again instead of google news html you have to set the start page to something else AND restart tb. Restart of tb is needed to completely clear the problem.
I see the problem on updated windows, probably 68.7 and on Trunk version with linux. This works as expected with 60.9 on linux
This was noticed while trying to check the source content for a potential scam email that was received.

In version 107, Thunderbird throws up "Blocked Page" and error console has

Seems OK now. See the correct message source with google news as start page.
FWIW, when I set google news as start page, I see the German news in German. Maybe because I had set my gmail account to german while working a bug a while back.
