Using MozMail 1.1b on WinXP Pro. Using MozMail 1.1b, I'm noticing that occasionally, an email message will be filtered into the wrong folder. One example: I have a folder called "aaaaSpam" and filters via which I try to recognize spam emails and send them to the folder. An email message (source attached) was placed into this folder by Moz filters. I will attach: a) my filters.dat file b) a writeup of what the filter in question does (not pasting inline as it includes a variety of adult words--hey, it's a spam filter after all!) c) the source of a message that was "false positive" recognized and put into the aaaaSpam folder; its subject was "Bug#: 6727 need to be deferred..." I can see a couple of possible explanations: 1) one of those three "aaaaSpam" filters somehow generated a false positive and placed the email into the aaaaSpam folder (hard to see how) 2) another earlier filter, which definitely should have recognized this message, placed the message into the aaaaSpam folder instead of the one it should have
source of email that was wrongly placed in aaaaSpam folder (edited only to remove personal contact info of another employee)
Sorry, INVALID. After a painstaking review, just discovered that one of my spam filters was "ANY OF" 'need' and 'cash' instead of ALL OF 'need' and 'cash', explaining why the other message was matched. My bad!!!
