Details

Opening new tabs by clicking a link first brings up a small blank tab, then renames and resizes it to "Loading..." and the proper size. This slows things down, and makes all of the other Tabs jump around while it resizes, hindering attempts to switch between tabs. Proper behavior would be the same as opening a new tab with command-T, the tab starts off with the proper size and titled "Loading...".
RalphNumbers, what build ID are you reporting this bug against? In the future, please consider using the Bugzilla Helper at [http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?format=guided] to report bugs.
This bug is present in every build since tabed browsing was enabled, and is more obvious since the advent of consistent sized tabs. If you can't wrap your mind around it without a build number, use today's: 2002081805.

I guess I can see that using Chimera/2002081605. It happens very fast anyway, and is a little visually awkward if anything.

Ok, the 8/19 build fixes this for me.

cannot repro this using 2002.08.21.05 --tested using both cmd-click (with the appropriate turned on) and selecting "open link in new tab".
