When a ASX-video is clicked (see given URL), mozilla hangs (process not
responding for about 10minutes)

When it is opened in new Tab, it will be displayed as plain text

using Mozilla 1.1b" (build 2002081604) on win98se (quicktime5, java1.4,
realplayer8 and MSmediaplayer6.4 on system for multimedia installed - mozilla
works with MPEG, AVI, MIDI, WAV and RM(internet-radio in realplayer) without
problem)

i dont understand much about multimedia-formats - do anybody knows what is ASX,
and how can it be played? (on Netscape4 it is not known and i dont have the
newest IE, the preinstalled IE4 try to play it with MSmediaplayer6.4, but only
sound is played - no error-message)

a colleague of me can play this joke-videos(see URL) on win2k (IE5.5) without
problem

linux trunk cvs 2002-08-17: I get the file as text whether plain clicking on
link or in new tab/window, because the server sends .asx files with wrong
mimetype text/plain, should be video/x-ms-asf. I couldn't reproduce the hang
though. Reporter, asx can be played with ms media player, to work around the
plaintext problem, you can save the file in mozilla (as instructed in the yellow
box on the page) and then open it from the local drive
