Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530
On the Forms Manager popup "Confirm" window, where it says "Do you want me to
remember the values you filled in?" with options Yes, Never for this site, and
No; please consider adding at the bottom a line saying "Don't ask me this again"
with a checkbox. If the user checked the checkbox, this would invisibly update
their preferences file, just as if they had gone thru Edit/Preferences/Privacy &
Security/Forms and unchecked the "Save form data from web pages when completing
forms" option.
Most (maybe all?) other Mozilla popup windows do have such a
don't-ask-me-again checkbox in them, and this is becoming a fairly common
feature in new software, since users find it friendly (the option to turn it off
is right there, easily changed, right at the time it pops up before you).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Verify on Edit/Preferences/Privacy & Security/Forms that the option "Save
form data from web pages when completing forms" is checked.
2. Go to any webpage that has a form on it, and fill in the form. You might try
the USPO zipcode lookup page (http://www.usps.com/zip4/).
3. Click on the Submit button.
Actual Results:
Forms Manager Confirm popup window appears.
Expected Results:
Same thing, this Forms Manager popup window should appear.
This RFE is asking for a change in the contents of this window (and a
corresponding change in the actions taken as a result).
