User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530 When i start Mozilla without internet-connection always an alert appears, which says "info.netscape.com could not be found". What is that? I think i don't need it. Is there an opportunity to prevent this alert. I don't find anything in the whole " Edit/Preferences" many thanks for an answer. Reinhard Ernst PS: Next time i would like to get answers to some questions about adress-books. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Do you have NS 6.x or 7.0pr1 installed ? If so, it should be related to a shared profile between NS and Mozilla, which is a bad idea ! Try create a new profile in mozilla (using profile manager) and see if the problem is still alive.
Summary: an alert appears always when i start Mozilla without internet-connection → an alert appears always when i start Mozilla without internet-connection
Reporter: is the problem gone with a blank new profile ?
Reporter : no answer for 2 monthes. Is the bug still alive or not ? Thanks for your answer.
Having this answer from reporter : "No thanks, it's not still alive. Now i've the same thing with an alert like that the browser "can't find http://www.mozilla.org/..". But i think, i got the point: When the Browser is not connected to the internet, in spite of this he's searching for the "HOMEPAGE-LOCATION" which is written under "EDIT / PREFERENCES / NAVIGATOR". So, when i would delete the LOCATION-input "http://www.mozilla.org/start/1.0/" ,he will no more search for it." Following this answer, closing this bug as WFM.
