Steps to reproduce:

Any open tab: middle-click won't close the tab, but double (left)-clicking works when setting browser.tabs.closeTabByDblclick True in about:config.

Any bookmark or URL in a webpage:
Middle-click does nothing.

Actual results:

Nothing

Expected results:

Middle-clicking should have closed the tab and open the URL/bookmark in new tab.

Yes, same problem with new pristine profile without sync activated.

Hi, I'm getting this issue in 77.0b9 (64-bit) on macOS Mojave (10.14.6), even when I have Tree Style Tabs disabled.

I have auto-scroll enabled, and I can middle-click scroll in pages. But then, when I try to middle-click close a tab, sometimes it will not close and thereafter all middle-clicks don't work for a while, including for closing tabs, scrolling and opening new tabs.

The weird thing is it doesn't always happen.

Actually, I think the middle-click button on my mouse is malfunctioning in my case (or I found an improbable macOS bug…), since I get similar intermittent problems in other applications. Ignore me!

Single report (can't find clear dupes) from 4 years ago, without enough information to debug the problem.
Maybe there's a relation to bug 1229701 or bug 1418249, but without the possibility to gather additional info, this is incomplete.
