The private bookmarks feature has been requested in the past, but it's not something most users would use. An add-on can achieve something similar, by removing history just after it has been added, for example, or on periodic cleanups. It could also provide a private list of links.
Thus, while it's an interesting feature suggestion, unfortunately at this time we don't plan to support it natively.
