Since 1996 I change urlbar by clicking into and type, now i have to click 4 times to get the same result.

Steps to reproduce:

Click into urlbar to add characters.

Actual results:

After typing a character the existing urlbar content vanishes.

Expected results:

As before it should position the cursor to add characters like it worked since 1996 for more that 34 years over different OSes.

It is very annoying to have a different behaviour on that input field than on the other input fields of the system.

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.
