editing of pasted image in email doesn't show correctly

Steps to reproduce:
I pasted a screenshot into an email message I was writing.
I changed it so that the text would be wrapped.
I tried to change the size of the image.
Actual results:
The original image was still showing.
I could not select either version of the image.
I had to go into image edit and reduce the size there.
Both images were still showing.
I sent the email (Send Later)
In the email that was to go only the corrected image was showing.
Expected results:
The original should not remain and the new image should be selectable and resizeable.
