Note

  • This was also discussed in bug 1485135 but the fact that we can't paste images from harddrive still remains an issue.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open imgur.com
  2. Click New post button from top left (No account needed)
  3. Copy an image from drive (Ctrl+C)
  4. Focus imgur website and paste the image (Ctrl+V)

Expected result

  • Image is successfully displayed in imgur

Actual result

  • Nothing happens. Image is not pasted in imgur

Regression range

  • As far as I know this was always a problem, I'll dive further though and check if this is a regression, anyway it will be a very old one if it turns out that indeed it is.

It works on Nightly78.0a1 Windows10 if set MOZ_FORCE_DISABLE_E10S=1 in shell environment var.

I can reproduce the issue on Nightly(20150418030216) which includes patch of Bug 1071562.
So, Bug 1071562 did not fix this case at all.

I think this is not regression. e10s implementation bug.
