User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Clean profile 76 or 78
  2. Open https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1619055#c6
  3. Duplicate tab by middle clicking on link in the comment.
  4. Left click and hold over a link.
  5. While still holding, switch to another tab by pressing Ctrl+Tab
  6. Release mouse button
  7. Switch back by pressing Ctrl+Tab if you have only 2 tabs or Shift+Ctrl+Tab (this does not work in clean profile where "Ctrl+Tab cycles through tabs in recently used order" is enabled)
  8. Move your mouse

Actual results:

Cursor is now dragging the link - no mouse button is pressed.

Expected results:

Normal mouse cursor, nothing is dragged. It's like this in Chrome 81

I guess you omitted "Click again" after step 6, am I right? I can reproduce this with my new step.

Severity: -- → S3

No, no clicking, only moving the mouse.

I could not reproduce this in MAC on 76 or 78, maybe a Linux specific bug?
