Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0

Steps to reproduce:

  • Open Nightly Preview.
  • Visit Reddit.com.
  • Scroll down and Tap "Next" button.

Actual results:

Reddit Mobile's Next Page button stopped working in Nightly Preview.

  • Only Ublock Origin is enabled and turning it off does not affect the result.
  • Turning off Tracking Protection does not affect the result.
  • Other browsers are not affected, including Fennec Firefox.

Expected results:

Load the next page. Instead it gives a dialog to "log in to vote".

OS: All → Android
Hardware: Unspecified → ARM
Component: General → Mobile
Product: GeckoView → Web Compatibility

Revised Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Nightly Android.
  2. Visit Reddit.com.
  3. Turn off "Ask To Open In APP" in Reddit's Settings.
  4. Scroll Down to tap "Next".

Apparently it only applies once you get rid of the Reddit nags to install their garbage app.

I'm not able to reproduce. Can you verify that the issue still exists. If it does, do you have any privacy-related addons perhaps?

This was broken 17 days ago when I reported it. Tested it again and its working now. I'll refrain from reporting these in the future.

No need to refrain from reporting. Some times sites are broken, then get updated. Doesn't hurt to file a bug. :)

(and yeah, took a while to get to this, sorry)
