Affected versions

  • 77.0b7(DevTools), 78.0a1 (2020-05-18)

Affected platforms

  • macOS 10.15.4, Windows 10, Ubuntu 18.04;

Steps to reproduce

  • devtools.inspector.compatibility.enabled preff on true;
  1. Launch Firefox, open DevTools Inspector - Compat tab;
  2. Access about:newtab;
  3. Click on the Settings button;
  4. Scroll down;

Expected result

  • the Settings info and Close [x] section to remain in view;
  • the reasoning for this is that the panel would need to be scrolled up to top back to access the close button

Actual result

  • section is scrolled out of view;

Regression range

  • not a regression;

Additional notes

  • attached recording with the issue;
  • another suggestion here would be that the top/bottom padding for the section can be dropped or decreased and would win a bit more space for the list.
