Affected versions
- 77.0b7(DevTools), 78.0a1 (2020-05-18)
Affected platforms
- macOS 10.15.4, Windows 10, Ubuntu 18.04;
Steps to reproduce
- devtools.inspector.compatibility.enabled preff on true;
- Launch Firefox, open DevTools Inspector - Compat tab;
- Access any webpage - ex: link;
- Click on the <body> element in the inspector and wait until the list populates with issues, expand sections;
- Click to expand listed occurrences;
- Resize rules panel(to right) so that scrollbar is displayed for the Compatibility Tab;
- Scroll up/down in the Compatibility Tab;
Expected result
- bottom scrollbar remains in view
Actual result
- there are 2x scrollbars - for each section(selected and list);
- bottom scrollbar(s) is not clamped to bottom;
Regression range
- not a regression.
Additional notes
- the use of only 1 bottom bar could also make it so that the use of 2x different horizontal bars for each section better UX-wise
- attached recording with the issue.

Thanks for the report!
Yes, it's a bug. I can reproduce it on my machine (Nightly, Win10) too
The horizontal (bottom) scrollbar is also pushing the vertical scrollbar out of the visible viewport and makes it unaccessible.

Hi Victoria!
I want to ask one question about UI.
That is, would we better not use the horizontal scrollbar here?
Instead, we'd better make these name
, description
and unsupported browsers
components collapsable dependent on the width?
What do you think?

Thanks for the idea Daisuke! Yes, I think it would be best if there was more wrapping before a horizontal scrollbar appeared.
The wrapping could go like this:
ℹ️ name
(deprecated)
browser icons
> occurrences
with "deprecated" wrapping first before the browser icons. Ideally, the browser icons should be left-aligned when they wrap.
