Steps to reproduce:
Changed the email server when I changed hosters
Actual results:
It still pops up as checking the old email server (mail.domainname.com)
Expected results:
It should be checking the new email server.
There are other similar bug reports. This is about e-mail. This is not a good at all because I can't have TB popping up errors 24/7.
And no, I don't want to delete the account b/c I have mail there & I shouldn't have to move the mail to another folder. It just shouldn't be causing that bug.
Pls. fix
Thanks
Sorry, I just realized I need to add more info.
Yesterday the issue was b/c the hoster had blocked my IP due to TB trying to connect & not being able to connect since you have to enter in the new p/w when you change the email server.
I have so many accounts & I didn't realize that the only way to get TB to do this is to click on "inbox." Doing get ALL messages doesn't trigger it for every single account & neither does restart.
So anyway, now that they've whitelisted my IP, this is now only happening with accounts where I deleted the e-mail on CPanel & I've unchecked the "check mail."
We did read that this is an issue. TB still tries to connect to check mail even though we told it not to.
So now I have to put a fake server name in there just to stop it pinging the new hoster.
So this isn't quite the same bug as the other one Wayne. They may be related, but it's not 100% the same thing.
Yes, that issue disappeared once I entered in the p/w again, but even when I hadn't entered it in yet it shouldn't have been showing a popup with the old e-mail server since I had already changed it in account settings.
Thanks

We fixed something like that iirc

Not that I recall. I think this bug summary is misleading. Isn't this basically just asking for bug 312619?

Rereading comment 0, you may be right.
Do you have two accounts in Thunderbird? accountX pointing to address@olddomain.com and accountY pointing to address@newdomain.com ?
