RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 32218

Details

Current splash screen plain sucks. In fact, all splash screens suck. What use
does a splash have just showing MOZILLA and a lizard? If it would have a loading
progress bar, well, OK.

The splash screen musn't be there to screw up the first impression.

Let's not have any splash screen in Mozilla for Windows, in Linux it's very OK
without any.
Waarom moet iedereen eigenlijk klagen, en komt er nooit een suggestie ?

Reporter: If you want, fill bug about a loading progress bar.
I'm not complaining, sorry for the negative tone in the report, but it _was_
actually a suggestion. I know about bug 32218, the problem is that it's two and
a half years old, and nobody comes with a solution, even in Moz 1.0 for Windows
there's still this splash. Maybe within two more years?

Until there's no good splash screen, I thought, let's just disable the splash
screen for now, but my suggestion is just marked duplicate(?)

PS.: when I said: "all splash screens suck.", I meant using a splash screen is
just useless (like in Microsoft products).

But now, thinking it well, they might have a use actually, letting the Windows
user know he/she actually clicked the icon.
