when i downloaded .msi files (particularly active PERL and Apache) an extra .exe ending was appended causing them not to run unless i renamed them.

1.download an msi installer file (.msi)
2.save it as the default name, which is not the name given in the link.

wrong file name

Expected Results:  
correct file name

then maybe we should write a better search for previous bugs
because i searched for .exe add
and .exe append and neither brought up the previous bug.
