Steps to reproduce:
To play video in the background. For example youTube video. Right now it pops out in a small rectangle. Instead i like it to keep playing the audio so that I can work on other tab or even switching off the screen.

I'm not sure what's exactly the request. Are you referring to the picture-in-picture option? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-picture-picture-firefox
Or just the fact of playing a video and letting it play on the background while going to other tabs in same/different window?
Please confirm, i'll set a component meanhile for dev team to take a look at your report.

Sorry then I'm not sure if i'm missing anything, since currently it's already possible to do what you're requesting.
Please clarify, or attach a video showing if you can (Right now it pops out in a small rectangle i'd like to see what this refer to)
