Possible to create multiple accounts with the same name without warning

I had one account with the e-mail address as the name (using IMAP on localhost via DavMail).
Then I needed to change the way of accessing the mail server to direct IMAP, and created a 2nd account (via Wizard). Accidentally, that account ended up having the same name (the e-mail address), without any warning.
Then I opened the Account settings. I could not navigate away from the old account, because I got a message that the account name may not be the same as another account.
And then I somehow managed to make Thunderbird hang ... Eventually killed it when the OS suggested that.
TB version is 77.0b3.
