On some site, there are high cpu usage (>97%). The
usage does not drop until some tab is closed. There
were multi-tabs. No really easily reproduceble.
I ltraced it for a while. 3MB log file.
Attached the top 1000 lines.
I am working on zh_CN locale. Don't know if that matters.
Debian sid system.

Which Mozilla build are you using?
Please provide URL(s) where this problem occurs, thanks.
It's one a nightly ID 2002082122. I don't think I
can have it reproduced at will. :) So cannot give
url for now.

Have you reproduced this on a recent mozilla build ?

This seems to be caused by loading several pages with scrolling text or a page
with several
scrolling text. The scrolling text keep mozilla eat a lot of CPU (the timer thing?)
Now I don't know if this really qualify as a bug or is just the DHTML effeciency
thing.

It's hard to tell without a testcase or url that shows the problem.... As in,
could you actually provide one? "scrolling text" doesn't say much, since there
are so many ways to do it....

Since over 1 month no answer from the reporter, so closing bug as invalid.
If the bug exists in newer builds (1.4 final) then look for a similar bug or
reopen this bug.
