i don't think there's a way to access the sidebar using the keyboard when focus is in the browser content. to observe: 0. make sure sidebar is closed and that focus in the web page content of the browser window. 1. open the sidebar, eg, cmd-/ 2. is focus in the sidebar? no, it's still in the content afaict. so, i hit the tab key... results: ...and the tab key just cycles through the focusable items in the web page content. i need to mouse click to bring focus to the sidebar. not sure if there's keyboard shortcut/means of getting to the sidebar... i'll need to see if focusing the browser window toolbars will allow me to do this.

drat, cannot use the keyboard to focus the sidebar, even if i bring focus to the browser window's toolbar (control-t). tabbing just cycles through the navigation toolbar.
