Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:77.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/77.0

Steps to reproduce:

Do not switch the list of YouTube subscriptions. After refreshing the page, it remains in the "tiles" mode

Actual results:

After i close tab or open in new tab YT it's set to tiles again.

Expected results:

Switch view to list mode and save it

Thanks for reporting this. Please provide a clear list of steps to reproduce that allows anyone else to reproduce, without having to interpret.

What is "tiles mode" and where? When to "not switch" something, and where?

-Youtube
-Click "My Subscriptions" (or "My Feed" don't sure i'm Russian)
-View of new posted videos is set to Tiles mode (Upper right corner icon)
-I change it to List mode (near i upper right corner) and it's works
-But when i close YT tab and open new one then go to My Feed (or whatever you call it) it's again set view to Tiles mode.
-Again and again and again.

I'm stick with Chrome for 10+ years and now switch to FF as my main browser.
Never have that issue with all Chromium based browsers.
I hope i'm clear now.

Hi memfisaka,

Thanks for providing further steps. What I did is:

  1. Open youtube.
  2. Go to Subscriptions
  3. As default, the subscriptions videos are shown in "Grid" mode, so I choose "List".
  4. Close Youtube Tab
  5. Load Youtube in a new tab
  6. Go to Subscriptions

Actual result: YT seems to remember my last selection, so I see the videos in "List" view.

Is this the behavior you are describing?

If you can, please attach a screen recording or screenshots indicating where the issue is so we can continue investigating.

Thanks!
Virginia
