User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:76.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/76.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Open a video on youtube.com
- Rotate to landscape view.
- Click full screen on the youtube video UI.
Actual results:
- The video is full screened with a wide black bar on the left side to avoid using the notch area (essential ph-1), and a narrow black bar on the right side, as expected.
- The top and bottom couple percent of the video are cropped and missing. This is hard to notice on some videos, but on videos that have e.g. text right at the bottom it's very obvious.
- Screenshot is attached, showing the bottom UI missing, even though there's a black bar on the side.
Expected results:
- The side black bars should be slightly thicker so that the whole video can fit on screen un-cropped.

Closing because I am pretty sure we addressed this in Firefox Preview (Fenix). We won't address this in Fennec.
I can reproduce this issue on both Firefox Nightly and Firefox preview. Cropping looks the same as in Firefox for Android.
I can confirm this bug with Firefox Preview Nightly (Build #21610607) on an Android 10 device with a 720 x 1600-notch-screen, too. Even through it doesn't display a black border on the right side and the videos don't seem to be cut off at the top for 16:9 videos. For 20:9 videos which are narrower than the remaining - notch-free - screen, it displays a back bar at the top but the video is still cut at the bottom and for videos with 4:3 resolution it does display black bars at both sides, but not wide enough once, thus the videos are still cut off at the bottom. This doesn't happen for vertical videos through. It appears for me, as Firefox assumes it had a 16:9 screen when playing videos.
(In Firefox Preview (Build #21571852) you can scroll up and down in the full-screen-video a bit, but not completely to the bottom.)
Not only YouTube, but also Vimeo is affected, where not only the video is cut off, but also the video controls (pause, timeline ...) are cut off.
Could this issue be reopened since it's been tested by two people on Firefox Preview? It doesn't seem to be already fixed like was originally thought.
Requesting Bryce to reconsider the validity of this bug.

This is not the right place for Fenix based bugs. Your issue is https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues/8252
