Could you provide a bit more context on the patch? What are you trying to achieve with the proposed patch?

If you want to land the patch in Firefox, submit it for review to Phabricator first (and add some relevant unit tests).

For the guide on contributing changes to the extension APIs, read https://wiki.mozilla.org/WebExtensions/Contribution_Onramp (this includes setting up a development environment, running tests and submitting a patch).

Thanks for your patch. Can you follow what Rob suggests in the previous comment?

it does exactly what it says in the title: Extend the Webextension's browsingData API to support deletion of HTTP Auth cache/tokens.

I can't write a test because I don't know how to setup some fake HTTP auth data and I can't submit to Phabricator because I'm not willing to enable 2FA.
If someone wants to take my patch (and ideally add some tests) and submit it correctly, please feel free to do so. Thanks
