User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 SeaMonkey/2.53.2
Steps to reproduce:
Clicked to play a video in SeaMonkey. Many site videos fail to open or play on many popular sites. Just get a blank box. Opera can play with no problems. Also scrolling/lockup issues. Try scrolling on sites like Amazon browsing history or Home Depot. Very slow or freezes the 64-Bit browser under Windows 10 64-Bit. See example, sorry bad lanquage: https://therightscoop.com/watch-man-threatens-to-up-a-bunch-of-nypd-officers-it-doesnt-go-well-for-him/
Actual results:
Will not play video links on many websites. You get a blank box. See example link above. Many Vimeo videos fail to play. YouTube videos play okay.
Browsing my Amazon browsing history of items previously viewed, causes SeaMonkey v2.53.2 to freeze, crash, or stall. Home Depot is similarly very slow to scroll up or down.
Expected results:
I am not seeing these issues in Opera or MS Edge. Don't use Chrome, due to privacy tracking issues. Is there an Add-On or Extension that SeaMonkey needs installed to play common website videos?
A generalised bug report is of no use.
Please log a separate bug per website involved that has an issue including, where appropriate, the crash ID(s) - see about:crashes for a list.
Do not log issues against websites that have suspect content though, as we do not want people who triage bugs having to go to those sites.

NOT reproducible with installation of unofficial (by wg9s) De SeaMonkey 2.53.4beta 1 pre Mozilla/5.0 (NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 Build 20200604210008 (Default Classic Theme, newly created User Profile) on German WIN7 64bit:
- Launch SeaMonkey with newly created User Profile
- visit page linked in Original report therightscoop.com
- Click Twitter-video "This is what NYPD cops are enduring daily."
» Expected: Video will start to play
Actual: As expected 👍
This probably is a problem with user's settings, User Profile, an installed add-on, but not a general SM Problem.

Please feel free to reopen this Bug if discussion at SeaMonkey Support has the result that there really is a bug in SeaMonkey. In that case please contribute information in accordance to Mozilla Bug writing Guidelines
