GUI response slow when error dialog is up

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have 2 windows open (NOT tabs, but maybe tabs in seperate windows will do it too)
2. In one try to go to.. well ATM, gnomedesktop.org (any site not working will do)
3. You'll eventually get an error along the lines of "could not connect..."
4. Go back to the other window and enter in a URL. You'll notice that there is a
large amount of lag between characters. Also the X in the window's title bar is
slow to repsond as well. I can usually get out 1/2 of a url before something
appears. Note that for 1 window, many tabs this is not a problem because the
dialog prevents tab switching. (Should it do that? That's a seperate usability
issue though...)
Actual Results:  
It took a while for chars to pop up in the URL (in the order of second(s) for me.

Expected Results:  
Instant echo of the char I typed.

worksforme linux trunk cvs 2002-08-25 with the steps given, echo is instant. I
have seen urlbar echo be as slow as described, but that's while swapping or such
load. bug 83205.

Works for me (instant echo) under Win98 with build 20020824 from the 1.1 branch.
 Your build is over a month old - could you download a recent build and see if
the problem still exists?

Bugs that are "fixed" by simply installing a newer build or such, should be
marked "WORKSFORME". "FIXED" may only be used if a patch was issued for the bug.
