Details

If you change your mail server or account name, the first time you log on to the new server, the password field of the ENTER YOUR PASSOWRD dialog won't take focus until you either cancel the dialog or select the REMEMBER PASSWORD check box.
Reporter, what is your build ? Please follow the bug-writing guideline at http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html
Build ID - dunno, build id not in title bar - I'm getting this on 1.1 beta 2 on win 2000. Will try to repro on linux build. Steps to reproduce: 1) in mail/news window choose EDIT/MAIL & NEWSGROUP ACCOUNT SETTINGS 2) select SERVER SETTINGS on the left 3) change your USER NAME - note that changing the server only will not trigger this 4) hit OK to exit dialog. 5) hit your GET MESSAGES button. When faced with the ENTER YOUR PASSWORD dialog you will not be able to enter a password unless you first take some other action. That action can be changing your USE PASSWORD MANAGER... check box, or submitting the password blank or cancelling the dialog.
Can't reproduce on Linux build 1.1 beta 2
Reproduced using the 1.3a build (2002121215). Found this bug while searching for dupes before reporting. This happened to me twice while setting up new accounts - once after setting up a POP account, once after setting up an IMAP account. Steps to reproduce: 1. Click on the main title of an existing account in left panel so that the right panel shows you "Email" "Accounts" and "Advanced Features" 2. In right panel click on "Create New Account" 3. Follow dialogues to set up new account, confirming at end. 4. In right panel, click on "View Settings for this account". In the settings panel, change the SMTP server to a different value (I have a work account which must use their server). 5. Confirm the settings. 6. Click on "Read Messages" in right panel. 7. Password dialogue come up, but cannot get a cursor inside the password box - will not focus there. There are two ways to recover: 7a. Click checkbox for "use password manager" and the box does check, and focus returns to password box. 7b. close the dialoge, and click read messages again. This time focus is properly set.
