User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:74.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/74.0
Steps to reproduce:
Reproduced on both High Sierra (10.13.4) and Mojave (10.14.6).
With FireFox 75 and above on windows 10 on VirtualBox on Mac OS X, many sites overload the VM's CPU and become unresponsive.
Example: https://qiita.com/Tsuyoshi84/items/a0cfdd9b641e12543dbf
Actual results:
The Guest OS becomes almost unresponsive.
The Guest OS process on MAC OS X is under heavy load.
But in taskmanager on windows 10 the CPU looks idle.
Expected results:
FireFox 74 does not have this problem
I know my usage is strange, but I've been using firefox for a long time, and I can't upgrade from version 74 as it is, so I'm very happy if this problem is fixed.
Hi mshtt641,
Thanks for reporting this issue.
Though I don't have the specific configuration to test this on my end, I'll add a product and component so the corresponding team can investigate.
@ Core: win32 team:
I'm not sure if you can help on this issue regarding virtual machines, if this is not your area of expertise, can you please route this ticket?
Thanks,
Virginia
Hi Virginia.
I'm new to bugzilla, so I didn't know how to use it well.
Thank you.

Hi mshtt641,
Do you think capture profile by using https://profiler.firefox.com/ when you see the high CPU usage?
Hi sefeng, Thank you for the advice.
I have noscript add-on installed, but in that case https://profiler.firefox.com/ doesn't seem to work, even if add-on is disabled. So I re-installed 78.0.2 and confirmed that https://profiler.firefox.com/ worked.
However, I was unable to capture the problematic site. Because the moment I visit it, firefox becomes unresponsive with the guest OS. Sorry.
!?
I tried 80.0.1 and maybe the problem was resolved.
I'll use it a little more and report again. Thanks.
