Details

Using Metacity or Sawish under GNOME on Debian GNU/Linux 3.0, also tested on Solaris 7 with the same window managers. Works using other window managers, such as KWM (KDE), FVWM2, WindowMaker. This occurs with all items on the file menubar, here is an example : Steps to reproduce : 1) click "File" item on menubar Expected results : The "File" item should be depressed, the pop-down menu should appear and obtain focus so that the user can use arrow keys to navigate the entries on the menu. Actual results : The "File" item is not depressed, the pop-down menu appears but it does not receive focus. Additional info : I do not know where the focus goes. However, if I move the mouse at all while still remaining within the boundaries of the "File" item, the item will be depressed and will be focused normally. Pressing the "alt-f" modifier works normally.
I see the same behvaior (buggy) with blackbox WM, linux trunk build 20020825
