In general websites render differently between the following versions on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
Using the following website as a test: => https://www.pbtech.co.nz
Running version 68.9.0esr-1 produces an expected render with font color being black - see attached file, version 68.9.0esr-1 Works fine.
When running version 77.0.1-1 or 78.0-1 beta the same font renders as white and if you have a white background it is problematic - see attached file, version 77.01-1 upwards doesn't render properly.
I have also noticed websites with white backgrounds and black text rendering as black background with dark grey text. This is just an example and the issue is quite widespread, for example check out www.bbc.com.

Could you attach your about:support? Your color profile (included in that report) may be important. The only color management change I can think of that might be related is bug 1618345 which landed in Firefox 76. Would you be willing to perform a bisection using mozregression to find the exact change? Thanks!
