Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:77.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/77.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Select "Blank Page" in "Homepage and new windows" on about:preferences#home
- Close Firefox
- Do the following actions quickly (for less than 5-6 seconds):
- run Firefox,
- open page http://help.dottoro.com/external/examples/ljhtbtum/onbeforeunload_1.htm
- press F5 to display onBeforeUnload dialog
- After several seconds the dialog will be aborted by Firefox. This happens only once after Firefox startup.
Actual results:
Tab modal prompts (alert, confirm, prompt, onbeforeunload) are closed by Firefox if they were opened during several seconds after Firefox startup and blank home page is used. This happens with many web pages that can show tab modal prompts.
Expected results:
Tam modal prompts should not be closed by Firefox.
Forgot to mention that I cannot reproduce this issue in Firefox 76.
