Steps to reproduce:

just went to check my friends page with extension username@github.io

Actual results:

mozilla opens github.io or either not opened the page at all

Expected results:

should just open the page

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.

We have no idea what "extension username@github.io" is. Please provide clear and complete steps to reproduce.

When I visit https://mozilla.github.io/ I do see some content. Note that this page is only available when there is a page. It doesn't look like a bug in Firefox.

If that is not the case, please provide more specific details.
