Details
Test Env: Mozilla 1.1.b on windows 2000. hpux11 Repeat steps. 1) same steps in some other box is ok my mail and news server side are alwasy ok that I can use other client to verify. I also can set mozilla's email and news account and let them connect successfully in some clean PC or create another profile in hpux. but, In my PC and my hpux 'test1' user profile, I cannot let email and news account connect to server anyway. (PS. I can use 'root' user profile in same hpux box to connect, but don't the difference between them. one is ok, one is err.) 2) uninstall mozilla on PC very 'clean' I try uninstall mozilla in windows very 'clean' I think by uninstall from control panel according mozilla's uninstall doc. and delete mozilla install path, register items. and all hiden files in [windows]c:\Document and setting\myusr\Application Data\mozilla 3) try reinstall and reconfig, always fails to connect. But after I reinstall and set account again, (same steps that work in other box done by myself) I still cannot let these account connect email & news server. BTW, I also use outlook express and foxmail as email client to test my dirty box, their config are simple and works easily. rgds,
