Details

Steps to reproduce: - Add a remote server - Edit an event from the remote server -> expected result: 'Calendar File' should have the remote calendar selected, and I shouldn't be able to edit the event or OK should be disabled. Actual result: Calendar File is set to Default and I can edit the event and press OK. When leaving Calendar File on 'Default', the event is not saved in the 'Default' calendar, but stored in the original server. When saving the event, and select 'Refresh Remote Calendars' all edited events are lost. This is confusing because with more calendars, it is not obvious which Calendars are remote and which are local. What I expect: - Calendars having a property 'Read Only' which disables the OK button or otherwise makes it imposible to edit the event/save it for that server - If the 'Calendar File' can be selected, I would expect that the event is saved to that calendar file when pressing 'OK'. So either ) the event should be copied to that server, or it should not be possible to change the Calendar File when changing the event (only for New event, and server is not read-only?) (note that it is also confusing it says in the dialog 'Calendar File' what is called 'Calendar Server' in the main calendar list)

I think that now that we have publishing remote calendar event files back to the server, that this bug is invalid. However, I do think we can learn something from it still. We nee a way to show (in the calendar listbox) that some calendars are remote calendars, and others are local calendars. Also, I've noticed that iCal has a small icon that will tell the user when the calendar files are being synced. I'll try and get an icon for that from our UI person today to add that to our calendar. I'm leaving this bug open for now, comments are appreciated.
We need a strategy for this for 0.9.

How about printing "refreshing calendars" in the status bar?
This bug is no longer a problem now that we have publishing, and I've implemented the little icon to show that a remote calendar is refreshing.
