Having made changes to smtp server and hitting the final ok button on mail and
news account settings has absolutely no effect. I have to close the screen by
hitting the close x at the top right corner of the screen. This happened while
changing smtp settings. Now nothing I can do to my smtp settings will get it to
work. I have all details entered correctly but consistently get a message when
trying to send mail that my smtp server is not configured correctly. If I go
back into the smtp server settings under the advnaced tab my smtp server listing
has moved down one place and there is a blank listing for smtp server.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Change settings in mail and news account settings
2.Hit ok for settings to take but nothing happens. Close the window anyway.
3. Go back in to make sure my settings are still there and correct.
4. Hit ok to exit but still this button does not work. Close using the x
5. Try to send mail but reports incorrect smtp settings.
6. Go back to check smtp settings - note that they are in fact correct but that
there is now a blank smtp setting that has appeared from nowhere. My original
setting is still listed as default.

Expected Results:
Hit the ok button and new settings take effect.
Here's a picture that shows the smtp server error. Note that the smtp name is
listed as %S. The actual server should be smtp.mail.yahoo.com.au
Having the same problem with unresponsive "ok" button after changing
default SMTP server.

Note: just opening mailnews account settings then pressing OK will
close the window.
I can confirm this problem in complete accordance with Ian Peake above.
