My complete Win98 hangs up, when the page is loaded. It does not happen with IE
5. There is only a standard Windows error message with no information. I can't
close Mozilla, but other applications, but i can't shutdown Windows.
The only other programm running is F-Secure virus scanner.

Reproducible: Always

1. Just open the link on my PC

Did you try with a blank new profile, using profile manager ?

Well, I do not understand. No problem at all with my trunk build 2002091004 - WinXP.

Reporter : did you make a clean install (ie : not overwrite previous mozilla) ?

Sorry, forget the comment:
It occured also with 1.0. I installed a completely new 1.1 (with removal and
reboot of old version) and it didn't help.
But I took the page, and after 1 hour of search and a lot of reboots I found,
that the problem is resulting from one table (see attached file #98628).
There a table is defined with on cell, and in this cell a 1-Pixel-image is
displayed, repeated up to the width of 2800 (a bit strange, indeed), in order to
create a horizontal line. It works fine if I reduce the width to values less
than 2048, with 2048 it crashes. Seems to be some overflow.

Do you have a Nvidia graphic card? Take a look at bug 128961.
