User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0
Steps to reproduce:
Set the environment variables: GTK_USE_PORTAL=1
and MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1
Actual results:
All the font becomes very grainy. Look at the attached picture.
Expected results:
Font rendering should be crisp and smooth like usual.
I forgot to add that my desktop environment is KDE, and so I'm using "xdg-desktop-portal-kde" (version 5.19.2).

Do you see any difference when you remove GTK_USE_PORTAL=1 ?
(In reply to Martin Stránský [:stransky] from comment #3)

Yes, I should have make that clearer. When not using that environment variable (but still using the Wayland back-end), fonts render properly, and are readable.

I think you see https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak/issues/2861 which leads to https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gsettings-desktop-schemas/-/issues/31 whi

Should this maybe also block Bug #1609115, because this specifically affects non-gnome DEs?
