Looking through the FxA amplitude data dictionary, I spotted a few places where the sync device ID is included in FxA Amplitude events. These events don't include a user identifier, just a device identifier.
The FxA Amplitude events are fxa_connect_device - engage
, fxa_connect_device - submit
, and fxa_connect_device - view
.
When a sync user opts out of telemetry on a given device, but doesn't delete their firefox account, should we try to delete the device IDs from FxA Amplitude?

No. Per previous conversations with :agray, the telemetry choices do not need to cascade to FxA data.
