① Go to https://s3.amazonaws.com/theoatmeal-img/comics/creativity_things/1.png
② Edit the 1 to a 2
③ Edit the 2 to a 3.
④ Edit the 3 to a 4 (repeat until 7 if you like).
⑤ Hit back to view a prior image. You'll be back on the firefox start page. Long touch on back arrow dropdown is missing the history of the loaded images too.
Expected results. All the images I loaded are navigable in history.
Actual results. Only the last image was.
The only reason I can imagine for ever wanting this behaviour is to try and cut down on javascript that manipulates the url bar for config or similar muddying the history. But you'd think it'd be possible to distinguish between javascript and user actions.
Oh, and I only tested the entering urls directly situation. Not sure if firefox is throwing out history in others.

Please can you clarify which Firefox version you and using, and the operating system you are running?
Also please can you clarify the steps to repeat - are you pressing enter between each edit, so that each image loads?

Is this similar to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1644914 ? It should be fixed now

That all applies to Nightly only.
Yes, sorry, I thought it was fairly obvious that unless one hit enter, stuff wouldn't show up in history 'cause nothing was loaded.
Also, indeed, nightly. Thought I'd selected that too, but apparently not.
And, awesome if you guys fixed it.
