I stumbled at this accidently, since the 4.7x-Navigator stopped to load pictures in its browser window but called a helper-application instead, which is controlled with the mime-type assignment "image/jpg", a list of suffixes and the name of the viewer program which acts as helper application. For many pictures which dont fit on my screen its comfortable to look on them with "xv" for example, so it gets resized to the screen dimensions automatical.. this is really some feature people who like to view large pictures can get used to, like the keeper puts them onto his site, for example, you know, those beatyful cars, hehe. So please, if somebody could remember how it was meant to override the browser's default behaviour? Best would be for sure a new clickable entry in the RMB popup select list, where you can choose to open the clicked object with its assigned helper application instead of the LMB default action which is the browser tries to handle the linked object. But maybe there is already the option to tell mozilla to use the helper application if the picture is viewed and not the html-page where it is embedded? This would also do.. Any suggestions?
