"Syncing..." button does not stop spinning since the build 80.0a1 (2020-07-20) (64-bit) for new and existing accounts. Sync works as expected I think , so this could just be cosmetic.

Mark, did anything new land that could cause this UI issue?

I can repro this on latest nightly -- AFAICT this seems purely cosmetic. I can still trigger syncs through Tools > Sync Now, and syncs still end up in about:sync-log as successful syncs even.

Which means that some amount of the messaging infra (which I had thought was responsible for turning off the spinner, and also for flushing the log) is still working (or appears to be, anyway)...
