The help text for ./mach try is outdated since Bug 1649194, which changed the default behaviour when no subcommand is specified to ./mach try. The text mentions:
If no subcommand is specified, the
syntaxselector is run by
default. Run |mach try syntax --help| for more information on
scheduling with thesyntaxselector.
