Steps to reproduce:

I am cleaning up hundreds of thousands of emails. One of my categories in the Message Filters is "Job Stuff". "Job Stuff" contains any job offer which I have been given. This list is very-very-very-very long (like over 100 entries). When I am now trying to add a new entry - Thunderbird crashes.

Actual results:

Created message filter, put too many entries in it. Thunderbird no longer can display list. Thunderbird crashes.

Expected results:

Thunderbird should limit how many entries can be seen in all cases. That is basically what the problem is.

For now the work-around would be to split the rule.

There was a time (maybe 10 years ago or before), when TB didn't honor entries more than 20.
That is, the terms for (say for OR) could be added but not effective. So there is another bug that has crept in.
(I am still left with rules from that era.)

I had to split the rules, i.e, instead of T1 or T2 or T3 or ... or T20 or T21 or T22 or ..., I have
T1 or T2 or T3 or ... or T19
T20 or T21 or T22 ... or T39
T40 or T41 or T42 ... or T59
which move filters messages to the same destination directory.
