It has recently been decided that we want to pref off changes introduced in Bug 1617987 by default for the 80 cycle for an experiment.

Thanks for filing, Prathiksha. As it has been decided that we would like to measure the retention impacts of this change as part of the omnibus experiment for Project Shirley (Fx 81), we would like this feature to be pref'ed off by default after Early Beta in Fx 80, and we'll also make the appropriate change to Nightly for the 81 cycle (so that it's off by default until the experiment flips it to on, when necessary).
