I got the following error any time I tried to save the page: The link could not be saved. The web page might have been removed or had its name changed. I was buying stuff from bhphoto.com, but could not save the invoice page. I could Print it, View it, but not save-as it. Even in the View mode, I could not save the html (which was right there in the page!--I was looking right at it!). I finally cut-n-pasted it--only thing that would work. This problems seems very strange, since I could see the HTML in view-source mode and the images used to construct the page were in the cache. So everything that was need to save the page was present. Mozilla just refused to do it, giving the above error. (It didn't even give me the option of saving just the raw html or the text versions. It just immediately gave me the above error message). This is for Mozilla 1.1 (not the nightly). I'm running a RH 7.2 distribution with a 2.4.7 kernel. I've never had problems saving invoices before, but this is the first time I've tried with 1.1.
Do you still have the HTML? This bug can't be triaged without a web page to look at.
The site just flubs HEAD requests.... this will get better once we stop using HEAD.
Depends on: 160454
bzbarsky: what is the status of this bug? Can we resolve it, or reassign it to networking?
dup of bug 160448?
Essentially the same bug, marking duplicate... and that one at least has a reasonable component. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 160448 ***
