Steps to reproduce:
Installed 78.1 on Debian 10. My old TB profile was migrated from 68.11.0 to the new version. ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini:
[Settings]
gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme=1
gtk-key-theme-name=Emacs
gtk-primary-button-warps-slider=false
Desktop is Xorg and fvwm.
Actual results:
Some parts of TB were shown in dark mode with the new version, so I selected the TB Light theme. But this affected only a part of TB. Especially the message window still uses only the color scheme set in ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini, regardless whether I have chosen the light or dark or default scheme, as provided by thunderbird.
Expected results:
I would like to enable or disable dark mode, no matter what the "operating system color scheme" (hah) says. No external references for the Light and Dark color schemes provided with TB, please.
