Mozilla 1.1 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 I received the two attached messages sent from a web-based e-mail program. They are both HTML messages but are displayed as plain text in Mozilla (OE displays them fine). "View Message As" is set to "original HTML". All other HTML messages display fine.

both messages use multipart/alternative. RFC says that the email client should show the last part its able to display. Also, rcf says that part should be placed in the order of the poorest to the richest content. The sample message put first the html part and then the plain text one. Mozilla correctly show the last one it can display: the plain text one. This is a problem with the email client who generated the message and not Mozilla. Now, do we want to break the rules to support those lazy mta? That could cause regression with other MTA!
